My Experience Through the University Writing Program

This spring quarter, I joined the University Writing Program. I conducted discussion and peer review with my classmates, studied my favorite discourse community , and published blogs. I’d like to give a summary on my learning in reading, writing and critical thinking designed in these processes. In my previous blog , I covered several topics that interest me. One example mentioned a fruit tree of unique historical and cultural importance - the avocado. It became a kind of food in our life, as well as deeply affected in the agricultural and cultural traditions of each region. I would like to continue this introduction by discussing the fruit trees I am interested in, including their history and the environment in which they are grown, and their impact on modern society.
